Medicare is a Federal benefit, Medicare Advantage policies are provided by private companies like Anthem, Humana, IU Health Plans and United Health Care, who have a contract with Medicare. Original Medicare lets you see any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, but most Medicare Advantage policies have networks.
